We stayed at the lake and couldn't be more pleased. Everyone in town was very nice and the food was great everywhere that we ate. Our side by side broke down and Robin Gowdy at High Altitude Adventures LLC went out of his way to get us running again. Thank you, Lake City for a wonderful vacation and great memories.
The cabins on the lake are by far the nicest properties we have stayed in while in Lake City. They are very clean and well appointed. The Property Management is the BEST! The cabin location is far enough out of town to be close but private. The cabins are directly on the lake which is wonderful. The views are stunning, and the stargazing is second to none! We will certainly stay here again!
We spent a week at Trujillo’s Cabin on Lake San Cristobal. The view is unbelievable. It is spectacular. The cabin is comfortable with everything we needed. The property management is there for any minor issues. We have stayed with them several times and will be back next year.
I can’t brag enough on the property management. We drove 18 hours to find out the previous place we (thought) we had reservations at did not put us in the system so we didn’t have a cabin. With prayer and one phone call I spoke with the kindest lady that went out of her way to find us a beautiful cabin to stay in. The Property was clean, beautiful, and an overall great experience. Thank you so much for being so kind and helping us.
My husband and I stayed at the Auric Creekside Retreat August 28-31, 2021. It was sunny w/highs in the mid-70s and lows in the mid-40s. The place was great for the 2 of us. We had a great view of the river below our balcony. The bed was a sleep number bed that kept loosing air after each use, so that was a bit of a pain to deal with, however, not enough to mark down the rating. Couldn’t ask for a better property management company of host/owner that lives on the property. We’ll definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay in Argenta Falls. The layout upstairs and downstairs was perfect for seven of us to comfortably stay. It was nice to have a washer/dryer. We loved the cabin and look forward to making it a yearly stop.
My husband and I stayed four nights in the Rocky Rose cabin. Not knowing anything about cabins in Lake City, I chose it primarily because it was reasonably priced. I was a little hesitant because the map showed it to be in town, where as we normally choose places that are more remote and scenic. So we went hoping for the best.
Well, it was far beyond the best! The cabin was charmingly decorated. My little lapdog was welcome. Everything was well stocked. Tannah was delightfully friendly and responsive!
While I had been hesitant about the location, it turned out to be great! We could walk anywhere in town.
My husband and I are being very careful about COVID 19, so we were pleased at the extra attention to safe cleaning. Also, each restaurant allowed us to call in an order and then they brought it to us curbside. We took the food back to the cabin and ate on the private porch which was set back from the street and guarded by two big, beautiful blue spruce.
So this is the perfect place for a quarantine vacation!
I can't say enough about Tannah's customer service. From when we decided to switch to a larger and more convenient cabin, to extending our stay, Tannah was quick to answer questions and make sure we had the perfect place to stay. Her professionalism and knowledge of the available cabins made everything so easy. I would give her ten stars if I could! Thanks again!
When we make our yearly trek to Lake City, we always stay at one of Lakeview Properties. Over the last three years we have stayed at 3 different properties that Tannah Snow has managed and we have not been disappointed. In town (Up scale Home), Alpine Loop (Newly added Home) and this year townhouse on Lake San Cristobal. All three are completely different, each having their pros/cons. Depends on your preference. If you have any issues, Tannah will get right on it whether she is in town or not. We had a few minor issues this time and Tannah offered to extend our stay, but we couldn't. However, her offer was very generous. Having stayed at a variety of Lakeview Property Management rentals, you can not go wrong whichever listing you decide.
I promised I would write a review of our stay, but part of me didn't want to because I don't want other people to find out about our cabin! We rented "Poppy's Place" at the Ox Yoke Resort cabins for 10 days, and I must say that I've never stayed in a more well-equipped, comfortable vacation rental. There's no dishwasher, but other than that, the kitchen had everything imaginable. And, there's a washer and dryer. Also, the beds were about 100% better than what you usually have to endure in a rental - comfortable, and with lovely linens, etc.
But, aside from all of these conveniences, the setting of Poppy's Place is heavenly. It has a huge porch, with old-fashioned wooden rockers, and a big (almost football-field-size) lawn sloping down to Henson Creek. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained, with hanging baskets of flowers, hummingbird feeders, picnic tables, and a fire pit and seating down by the creek.
Poppy's Place is dog-friendly and (theoretically) has Wi-Fi. However, Wi-Fi in Lake City as a whole is a little "iffy." Even the public library had a sign on the door saying "our Wi-Fi is sketchy."
We loved it and can't imagine staying anywhere else in Lake City! Who needs Wi-Fi when you can play dominoes outside on a picnic table?
